As part of our recruitment process we will require you to complete a series of psychometric tests which will include both ability tests and a personality questionnaire.
Ability tests are used to gain insight into how you perform on reasoning tasks, such as numerical or verbal reasoning. They are usually presented in a multiple-choice question and answer format. The best strategy for tests of this nature is to work as quickly and accurately as you can, but not so quickly that you make careless mistakes.
Personality questionnaires measure your preferences for certain types of behaviour. You’ll be asked to describe yourself – for example your preference in communicating and interacting with others and your typical working style - by rating the extent to which a number of statements apply to you.
Our interviews are both technical and competency based. These may be conducted by a member of the HR team or by a line manager. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions that matter to you.
The technical interview is your chance to provide additional evidence about how, in the past, you have applied your technical skills and knowledge.
The final stage will be a more in-depth discussion of your experience. You may also be asked to make a presentation, complete a case study or take part in a group discussion.
